Excess verbiage Dept.: I don't know if the examples of local worthies helped anybody else, but for me they were just confusing. I'd much rather just have been asked, "If someone has the letters FAAV after their name, what does the V stand for?"
And another thing ... as if it wasn't dull enough to have two consecutive rounds about abbreviations and codes, the setter of this round seems to have chosen the least interesting word in nearly every case (this example being one exception). Little wonder that these questions scored 4.11 for Entertainment. (Since the beginning of last season, only three sets of questions, out of 40, have scored less than this.)
